Everything you need to know, in plain English.
The short version.
- •qaptcha helps you document your creative process and turn real moments into social content — reels, stories, and posts — without the editing grind.
- •Whether you're making music, painting, writing, photographing, or building anything creative, you can capture a session in about two minutes and walk away with something ready to share.
- •Your audience doesn't want polished ads. They want to see the real work. Behind-the-scenes moments build deeper connections than any promo post.
- •Think of it as a creative diary that also happens to make content for you.
Organise your work before you start capturing.
- •A project groups all your session logs for one creative work — a song, a painting, a photo series, a podcast, or anything else you're building.
- •Go to the Projects page and tap New Project. Give it a name, pick a type (Music, Visual Art, Writing, Photography, Travel, DJ Set, Podcast, or Other), and optionally add a short description.
- •You can also create a project on the fly during capture — after recording a session, you'll be prompted to assign it to an existing project or create a new one.
- •There's no limit to how many session logs a project can have. Each session becomes a timestamped entry in that project's timeline.
Capture what happened. In about a minute.
- •Tap the camera button to start — you'll step through a few quick capture steps: your spot, your activity, a selfie, etc. You can also edit your session log later to retake or remove steps.
- •Skip any step you don't need. Nothing is required.
- •Want to capture more? Tap the + button on the last step to add extra captures — photos, videos, audio, or screen recordings. You can add up to 10 and name each one by tapping the pencil icon.
- •Jot a note at the end — it shows up as text in your post.
- •At the recap screen, assign the session to an existing project or create a new one on the spot.
Turn your captures into a share-ready video.
- •Open a session that has at least one photo or video, then tap Generate Session Reel.
- •It runs in the background — you can keep using the app while it works.
- •When it's done (usually a minute or two), a pop-up appears with options to share or download.
- •Your note shows as on-screen text. If you recorded audio, it plays over the video.
- •If it doesn't work, tap Retry — it's almost always a temporary cloud blip, not you.
Full control over your video recap.
- •Open a session or project, tap New Session Recap (or New Project Recap), then choose Build a Reel.
- •Pick which clips and photos to include, drag to reorder, set durations, and add text overlays.
- •Choose an aspect ratio (9:16 for Reels/TikTok or 4:5 for Feed), attach an audio track, and trim it to fit.
- •Hit Generate Recap — it renders in the cloud and notifies you when it's ready to share or download.
- •You can also build a reel at the project level to create highlight videos from your best media across multiple sessions.
Get all your files in one go.
- •On any project page, tap Export ZIP.
- •You'll get a folder for every session, each with the original photos, videos, and audio you captured.
- •Notes are included as a text file inside each session folder.
Publish straight from qaptcha.
- •Connect your Instagram account from your Profile page — it takes about 30 seconds.
- •Once connected, every recap you generate gets a Share button. Tap it, add a caption, and publish directly as a Reel or Story — no switching apps, no saving and re-uploading.
- •You can also download any recap to share manually on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or anywhere else.
- •Your Instagram connection is secure and can be disconnected at any time from your Profile.
